For many, it’s the amazing theme parks and attractions that bring them to Orlando but the city also has tons of great shopping options. From outlet malls to sprawling shopping centers to local boutiques, Orlando has a variety of spots for a little retail therapy. To get the most out of your shopping excursions, check out these tips.

Think Outside the (Shopping) Box

Orlando has three outlet malls and numerous traditional malls, but shoppers can also find fun finds at the theme parks. Disney Springs®, the entertainment hub of Walt Disney World Resort® has over 100 retail stores. Huge Disney® fans will love stores like Art by Disney, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Disney’s® Days of Christmas. These specialty stores carry one-of-a-kind Disney® merchandise you can’t find anywhere else.

Over at Universal Studios, CityWalk is home to eight stores, including the Universal Studios Store and the Quiet Flight Surf Shop.

Before you do any shopping, stop by each mall’s customer service desk and ask if they have any coupon books or other savings. Most of the time these malls will also offer a sheet of all the store deals going on at that time. You can also check out the mall websites for current deals and discounts.

Visit Macy’s for an extra 10 percent off your purchases with their Visitors Savings program. Print off the voucher, which is good for three days, from the Macy’s website or show it on your mobile phone at any Orlando Macy’s store.

Utilize Mall Currency Exchange

Visitors from foreign countries can exchange their money and get to shopping thanks to mall currency exchange centers. Currency Exchange International has locations at the Mall at Millenia, Orlando Premium Outlets and The Florida Mall, which has two locations. Travelex Currency Exchange is available at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores.

Ship Your Treasures Home

If you don’t have room in your suitcase, the Mall at Millenia has a U.S. Post Office onsite. The mall also provides a credit for domestic and international shipping for items purchased at mall stores.

After shopping-til-you-drop, return to your comfortable and spacious Casiola rental. All of our rentals enjoy a prime location in the city, putting you close to all the shopping action.
