Theme Park Celebrations
Valentine’s Day is all about being with those you love. What better place to be than the “happiest place on earth”?! During the days leading up to and following Valentine’s Day, Disney World in Orlando offers all kinds of special treats. You can indulge in sweet desserts, treat your honey to a romantic dinner or pamper yourself with spa services. Disney Floral & Gifts puts together beautiful bouquets. Disney’s Cake Hotline can have a specially-made cake ready and waiting in your room. At Universal, Toothsome’s Chocolate Emporium serves up delicious sweet treats for chocolate lovers. Split a artisanal milkshake or over-the-top sundae with your loved one, or indulge in one by yourself. Ready to take your relationship to the next level? Plan an extra romantic proposal at SeaWorld’s Discovery Cove. While you swim with the dolphins, they’ll help you pop the question with adorable signs that say “Will You Marry Me?”
Romantic Restaurants
Just like every other day of the year, you have to eat on Valentine’s Day. Elevate your typical dinner out and indulge in one of Orlando’s most romantic restaurants. Helmed by Norman Van Aken, a James Beard Award Winning Chef, Norman’s is one of the most exclusive restaurants in Orlando. The refined atmosphere rivals the outstanding menu, featuring Latin, Caribbean and Asian influences. Located in the Caribe Royale resort, the Venetian Chop House harkens back to a classic steakhouse. It’s earned AAA’s Four Diamond rating, serving award-winning steaks and seafood.
Couples Activities
Get out and see the city with your significant other on Valentine’s Day, enjoying romantic activities around the city. Go for a spin on the ICON Orlando ferris wheel, taking in the sweeping views of the city from great heights. The ICON even offers special packages, like the Romance Capsule. This package includes drinks for the couple, a private capsule, rose petal decor and a gourmet box of chocolate truffles. Couples who love music and theater can catch a show at the renowned Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The theater has hosted everything from Hamilton to the Boston Pops to Carol Burnett.
Singles Events
Depending on your current relationship status, Valentine’s Day might more accurately be called Singles Awareness Day. If you’re single and ready to mingle, Orlando has plenty of opportunities for you. Exclusive Singles Events will be hosting the largest Singles Speed Dating event in Orlando. You can also do your own singles bar crawl, visiting singles-friendly watering holes like Tin Roof at ICON Orlando and O’shucks Pub and Karaoke Bar on I-Drive.
If you’d rather have a quiet night at home, take advantage of Casiola’s fully-equipped kitchens and cook your own romantic dinner. Many of Casiola’s properties also have hot tubs. After dinner, pour a couple glasses of bubbly and slip into the warm, bubbling water.
