Everything You Need to Know About the Epcot® International Festival of the Arts

What's going on in Orlando?
One of the highlights of the year at Epcot®, the International Festival of the Arts brings in artisans from several genres. The festival features artisans from the culinary, performing and visual arts and is included in the price of general admission. Festival dates are January 17 through February 24, 2020. Here’s what you’ll see, hear and taste this year:

Culinary Arts

The most delicious part of the festival, food studios feature top chefs and bartenders from around the world. These food studios feature themed-food, culinary specialties and international fare. Each food studio has its own unique menu, and also appeals to guests with food sensitivities, serving up gluten-free and kid-friendly options. Choose a one-of-a-kind cocktail to compliment your dishes; some of the drinks have a non-alcoholic version too.

Some of the more unique food studios include The Deconstructed Dish, offering a menu of deconstructed sandwiches and desserts, and Pop Eats, featuring dishes that are as amazing to look at as they are delicious. Guests can also dine on Old World and food and wine fusions.

Turn mealtime into an adventure with the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. Each time you purchase a food item from a Wonderful Walk of Color vendor, you’ll receive a passport stamps. After five stamps, turn in your passport and receive a culinary prize.

Performing Arts

A treat for your eyes and your ears, the performing arts portion of the festival features live music, Broadway performances, acrobatics and performance art. The Disney on Broadway Concert Series treats guests to award-winning musicals and movies. Enjoy the skills of Disney artists showing off their talents, bringing drawings to life while you watch.

Don’t blink or you might miss the living statues. Testing the limits of their bodies and gravity, acrobatic performers impress visitors with feats of strength. The Disney Performing Arts Showcases highlights high school bands. Keep an eye out for your favorite Disney characters, featured in different artistic ways.

Visual Arts

Not only will you get to enjoy the visual arts, you’ll get to learn yourself with workshops and seminars. These workshops cover a variety of mediums, from animation drawing to 3D paper crafting to painting.

Take a piece of the magic home at the Festival Markets, where artisans and crafters sell homemade goods. You’ll find the perfect souvenir among the jewelry, photography, paper sculptures and much more.

Browse the pop-up galleries and exhibits, which include impressive sidewalk art throughout the park. The festival has set up Artful Photo Ops, artistic backdrops where you can snap a selfie or two and look like you’re part of the action.

For the Kids

The festival appeals to all ages, especially with fun kid-centric activities just for the younger crowd. At the Animation Academy, kids take a drawing class learning Disney animation. They can put their own touch on a mural at the Paint-by-Number Mural, where kids can paint a section.

Other highlights include a scavenger hunt, play zone, chalk art and family-friendly films at the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival.

When you’ve had your fill of art-filled fun, head back to your Casiola rental where you can relax and enjoy plenty of space and privacy. All of our rentals are close to Orlando’s best attractions, so you’re never far from the fun.
