One Happy Island is bringing “The Aruba Effect” to life. The initiative is part of the Aruba Tourism Authority’s (ATA) newly released campaign “The Aruba Effect”, which the tourism agency defines as “the state of being when you bring your luggage but lose your baggage, as in whatever emotional baggage you may be carrying.” In light of the stress of everyday life during the last two years, as well as growing travel costs, Aruba is going one step further by repaying checked luggage expenses for travelers to the island.
Aruba offers a $60 gift card
A $60 Visa Gift Card can be used to pay the cost of checked baggage. On the submission form, they must provide their names, contact information, and travel dates. Applicants must also present proof, such as a trip itinerary or hotel reservation, verifying that they have made travel arrangements to Aruba. (However, you are not required to show that you will check a bag, so the $60 gift card can be spent any way you wish.) All travel must be completed by December 31, 2022.
Visit Aruba.com/baggage to participate in the Lose Your Baggage campaign and learn more about the on-island savings. Open to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States/DC (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence or older at the time of submission.
