Unveiling Dreams that Soar

Disney Springs Dreams That Soar

At the heart of Disney Springs lies the inspiring initiative known as Dreams that Soar. This innovative program is designed to ignite creativity and encourage visitors to dream big. Inspired by Disney’s legacy of magic and imagination, “Dreams that Soar” showcases a variety of talented performers and artists who captivate audiences with their unique talents.

This summer, Disney Springs is lighting up the sky with a nighttime spectacular celebrating Disney’s character who soar through the sky, space, and our hearts! Eight hundred drones and a fun soundtrack featuring the music and voices we love bring Disney stories to life with images up to 400 feet tall. Disney “Dreams that Soar” is a free, outdoor drone show at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World® Resort that takes place twice nightly at 9PM and 10:45 PM. The show runs from May 24 to September 2, 2024, and viewing areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis along the waterfront between the Cirque du Soleil Theatre and Aerophile (world leader in balloon flights).

Some recommend arriving at the viewing area early to avoid being at the back of the line. If you don’t have children who need an early bedtime, the 10:45 PM show may be less crowded. You can also check the My Disney Experience app for last-minute showtime changes.

Disney Dreams that Soar integration with MagicBand+

The Disney Dreams that Soar drone show syncs to MagicBand+. When you watch the show, your MagicBand+ activates by lighting up and vibrating in sync with the show.

MagicBand+ is a wearable used at Walt Disney World designed to put key functions of experiencing the parks in one place. The wrist-worn device acts as your park ticket, room key (if staying at a Disney resort hotel), Lightning Lane entrance facilitator, and PhotoPass photo linker – reducing your need to have a paper ticket or plastic room key or needing to pull out your phone.

But the device also has some more fun, interactive capabilities. You can interact with certain shows, park features, and even participate in mini games (like Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters) through the band’s functionalities. And yes, among those shows is now the Disney World drone show Dreams that Soar.

Tips for watching Disney Dreams that Soar

Disney Dreams
  1. Where to park: Parking at Disney Springs is completely free, and they have several convenient parking structures available. To make sure you’re all set for the show, we recommend arriving at least 60 minutes before it starts. Their parking system is advanced, featuring digital message boards along Buena Vista Drive that let you know when their garages and surface lots are filling up. While Disney Springs itself is open to everyone without charge, please be aware that if it gets super busy, they may need to limit access.
  2. Arrive early: Arrive at your viewing spot at least 30 minutes before showtime to secure a good viewing location, especially on weekends. Since viewing areas are first-come, first-serve – and the show is one of the few free drone shows – expect big crowds.
  3. Best viewing spots: The show takes place over Lake Buena Vista in Disney Springs, but the BEST place to see it is along the water in the West Side area between the theater for Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life and Aerophile. For the best vantage points, consider areas near the Marketplace, the bridge between Town Center and The Landing, or in front of AMC Theatres. Some restaurants like House of Blues and Summer House offers semiprivate viewing seats during the drone show while you eat or drink there. Jaleo at Disney Springs also offers semi-private viewing options for Disney Dreams That Soar, including a Cocktail Hour with a $35 cover charge and a Tasting Experience for $79 per adult. You will be able to see the show from the waterside seating at some other restaurants, but it will not be a head-on view and the images may appear distorted.
  4. Wheelchair access: There’s a wheelchair entrance over at the Food Truck Park section of Disney Springs.
  5. Part of a magical day: Disney Springs offers one of the most enchanting and cost-free ways to experience Walt Disney World. With over 150 delightful shops and restaurants, you can easily spend a half-day exploring this wonderful complex. Planning to arrive early ensures you can beat the rush for parking and entry, making your visit even more enchanting.
  6. Experience the magic without park tickets: You don’t need Disney tickets to enjoy this spectacular show. Since theme park tickets can cost over $100 per person per day, why not plan to include this unforgettable show on a day when you’re not visiting a park? It’s a perfect way to add some Disney dazzle to your vacation plans.
