8 best things to do while on a babymoon in Aruba

Aruba, Things to do in Aruba, What's going on in Aruba?

In February 2021, we invited Belgian blogger Marissa Galle and her partner Frank Molnar to Casiola Aruba to experience all that Aruba has to offer. They are expecting a baby soon, so this was the most excellent opportunity to find out if babymooning on Aruba is a thing!

We had the pleasure of staying at this amazing vacation home Casa Campeona. Upon our arrival we were adorned with a cozy atmosphere, walking into the villa is just so magical. From the living room, you have a beautiful view over the private pool, it is a truly tropical paradise. And it’s impossible to feel anything other than pure relaxation.

We had an incredible experience at Aruba with a ton of activities for couples on a babymoon, there’s so much to see on the island. A sea full of life and shipwrecks and an authentic, inviting culture. There’s no shortage of fun things to do on the island, it’s just a matter of finding which ones make you happiest.

Babymoon

Off-Road Safari Jeep

We explore the rugged countryside of Aruba and learned about the island’s most interesting landmarks on a half-day off-road adventure by 4WD open-air Land Rovers. We visited stunning places like the famous California Lighthouse, saw the Natural Fallen Bridge that collapsed in 2005 and the historic gold-mill Bushiribana ruins with sea views during our stop at Arikok National Park, and finished up our adventure with some relaxing lounge time on Wariruri beach. These Jeep tours are a safe way to explore the island while being pregnant, so perfect for our babymoon.

Sunset Sail

We ended our first day with the most beautiful and romantic Sunset Sail cruise on Aruba’s crystal waters. The views of the coastline from this luxurious catamaran were just breathtaking. They served some tropical cocktails and luckily they had mocktails too 😉 with a small snack and great music as the sun dipped below the horizon. It was such a great experience and we had so much fun, this is a great way to enjoy the sunset in paradise on our babymoon.

De Palm Island

We had an amazing full day in paradise on this private all-inclusive island to simply rest and relax. If you’ve ever had fantasies of relaxing on a sun-soaked deck of a thatched-roof cabana perched over the Caribbean Sea while a butler fills your glass with bubbling champagne, then you’re gonna love De Palm Island in Aruba for sure! This was one of my favorite Aruba day trips on this babymoon.

We took a beach cabana on the quieter beach area near the flamingos, there was also a fridge stocked with cool drinks, a bottle of chilled Prosecco, and a dedicated server who brought us every cocktail/mocktail we wanted all day long.

There was a nice lunch buffet with fresh salads and seafood or a grill with fired favorites likes burgers and chicken fingers. We headed back to shore with beautiful sun-kissed skin, a blissful smile, and plenty of flamingo selfies!

picnic

Picnic At The Beach

To end this romantic day, we had a luxurious beach picnic with Picnic Aruba. While enjoying our delicious gourmet dinner we could dream away watching the beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. This was the dreamiest setting I’ve ever seen with the cutest pillows, blankets, and beautiful flowers. We loved this romantic babymoon escape from daily life!

Jolly Pirates to Bucuti Beach

If you’re in Aruba you need to be on the water as much as possible! We spend four hours aboard the fun Jolly Pirates boat. Picnic Aruba took care of a delicious picnic lunch and we could jump off the pirate ship with a rope swing! Of course, I didn’t do that, but Frank loved it! Meanwhile, I enjoyed the tropical scenery and sipped my mocktails from the open bar! 😉

BBQ 2

Private BBQ with “the Little One Aruba”

We were invited to a private BBQ provided by “The Little One Aruba”, in one of their beautiful vacation homes, Villa Rossana, located right at the ocean. This house really has the typical Caribbean laid-back vibe with a huge tiki hut with hammock and a complete outdoor kitchen every grill master would dream of! We enjoyed a lovely dinner with a sunset view, it was safe, fun, and beautiful, just an unbelievable evening.

Boca Catalina

As growing up nearby the beach, I miss salty waters in Vegas. So we definitely had to spend a day at the beach. It still amazes me how crystal clear and blue the water is in Aruba. Boca Catalina is a small, secluded bay in the Malmok Beach area, we had the bay all for ourselves. It has a beautiful white sand beach area with lava rock formation and some beach huts to protect you from the sun. We also brought some bread for the fishes, they were just swimming around us.

Private Chef

As the last dinner of our trip, we wanted to have a special dinner, so we hired a personal chef to cook our last meal in our vacation home! Chef Griet Vanbrabant from Private Chef Aruba is a Belgian chef with a true passion for food. She worked all over the world for luxury hotel groups and 3-Michelin-star restaurants. we had the best private dining experience and the table setting was sooo gorgeous! Perfect for the last night of our babymoon in Aruba.

What is a babymoon?

A babymoon is similar to a honeymoon, in that it’s a celebratory vacation. But instead of spending alone time with your spouse after getting married, you’re enjoying quality time together before the birth of a new baby.
