Disney FastPass+: The Key to Getting the Most Out of Your Visit

News, Orlando travel and vacation planning tips, Theme Parks, Walt Disney World, What's going on in Orlando?
With four theme parks, two waterparks and numerous other entertainment options, Disney World Orlando has enough fun to keep you busy for several days. When planning your Disney vacation, you’ll hear a lot about Disney’s FastPass+. The FastPass+ program is a great way to get the most out of your Disney trip. It helps you see and do more in less time and takes the stress out of planning your visit. Here’s all you need to know about Disney Fastpass+:

What is FastPass+?

To offer additional value to visitors, Disney created the FastPass+ program. With FastPass+, you can make advanced reservations for certain attractions and rides. Once you’ve purchased a single or multi-day ticket or annual pass, you can make your reservations as soon as 30 days before you arrive. When you stay at a Disney resort, Disney Springs hotel or other partner hotels, you can make reservations 60 days in advance.

What does FastPass+ cost?

Nothing! All reservations through the program are complimentary as long as you have a park ticket or annual pass. All your FastPass+ reservations are embedded in your Magic Band; just touch your band on the entrance sensor and you’re in!

How many rides can I reserve with FastPass+?

Currently, Disney World has 60 rides and attractions that are included in the FastPass+ program. You can reserve up to 3 FastPass+ selections at one park each day per person. Rides and attractions included in FastPass+ include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Mission: SPACE and character meet and greets. Once you’ve used your three passes, you can reserve another choice at any FastPass+ kiosk in the parks. Make your original three reservations for as early in the day as possible, giving yourself time to possibly add an additional FastPass+ or two later in the day.

At Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, rides are divided into two tiers — guests can use one FastPass+ for Tier 1 rides and two passes for Tier 2 rides.

How do I use my FastPass+?

Make your FastPass+ reservations online by linking your hotel stay or tickets to your FastPass+ in your My Disney Experience portal. You can also make reservations via the My Disney Experience mobile app, through the concierge at Disney resorts or at any FastPass+ kiosk in the parks. These kiosks allow you to change reservations, see your current choices and ask questions to the knowledgeable Cast Members. Consult the Guidebook to find kiosk locations. Change your mind on what you want to do? No problem! You can change any of your FastPass+ selections at any time. Head to your reserved rides during the FastPass+ window and find the FastPass+ dedicated line.

Can I add my family and friends to my FastPass+?

Yes! If you add people to your Friends & Family list, you have the ability to book FastPass+ reservations for them. This helps families and friends traveling together to plan their days and enjoy as much together as possible. When planning your passes, not everyone in your party has to choose the same FastPasses+. You’ll choose which members of party go with each FastPass+ reservation. If someone in your party doesn’t do the same ride as everyone else, they can use that FastPass+ on another ride. Everyone’s happy!

What if I miss my timeframe?

If you completely miss your FastPass+ time frame, you can always book another FastPass+ for that ride. If you know you’re going to miss before the time window expires, make the change in the app or at a kiosk.

When you stay at a Casiola property, you’ll feel like you have another FastPass to the action. All of our properties are conveniently located just minutes from Disney and Orlando’s other great attractions.
